MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s boys volleyball team, the No. 2 seed in the South-West Conference Tournament, defeated No. 3 Pomperaug of Southbury 3-1 in Tuesday’s semifinals.
The Panthers overcame a first-set loss. Scores were 21-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-21.
Michael Majersky had 15 kills, 5 digs, and four aces; Daniel Ferris had 22 kills, 5 digs and two aces. Nathan Kurkoski recorded 41 assists, three kills, and 12 digs.
The Panthers take on top seed Joel Barlow of Redding in the finals at neutral site Newtown High on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
