Masuk softball team blanks Bethel 17-0

Isabella Holsworth and the Masuk offense continues to pile up runs.

MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s softball team shutout visiting Bethel 17-0 on Friday. With the win, the Panthers improve to 10-1 overall this spring.

Madison Aguirre got the start in the pitcher’s circle and surrendered only two hits over five innings, striking out three batters and walking none in another mercy-rule victory.

Natalie Lieto went 3-for-3 with a home run, double and single. Ella Bunovsky went 2-for-3 with a triple and a single. Alyssa Castillo went 1-for-2 with a double. Sofia Lieto went 2-for-3 with a triple and a single. Julia Bacoulis went 1-for-1 with a triple. Madison Aguirre went 2-for-3 with a double and a single. Isabella Holsworth went 2-for-2 with two singles. Aubrey Zvovushe-Ramos and Grace Ely both contributed one single for Masuk.

The Panthers will host Joel Barlow on Monday, May 1, at 4:15 p.m.
