NEWTOWN, Conn. — The Masuk Panthers Unified Sports Team concluded basketball season by participating in a tournament at the Newtown Youth Academy Sports & Fitness Center on Wednesday, March 18. The tournament also included Unified Sports teams from Bethel, Newtown and Brookfield high schools.
The Panthers demonstrated excellent basketball skills, while making lots of baskets, according to Head Coach Donald Casey Jr.
“The Panthers played very well during the competition,” Casey said. “They worked well together as a team and had a lot of fun. Most important of all, students were great ambassadors for Masuk High School by showing respect, kindness and sportsmanship towards each other and friends from opposing teams.”
Halftime included a dance party and cornhole competition. The tournament concluded with a pizza party and Casey awarding each student with a medal.
