Masuk hockey continues its winning ways

Luke Kondub had a goal and two assists against Milford.

SHELTON, CT — The Masuk High hockey team kept up its winning ways with a 5-3 victory at East Haven on Jan. 26, followed by a 9-1 thumping of the visiting Milford co-op at The Rinks at Shelton two days later.

The Panthers improved to 10-1 overall. In the win over East Haven, Drew Scalia led the way with four goals and Angelo Michetti scored. Both are senior captains.

Colin Deering had two assists and Austin Braiewa, Nick Kondub and Michetti each had one assist. Maddex LaFountain was in goal for the win.

In the 9-1 win over Milford, Kyle Sutfin and Christian LaBella both scored twice, and AJ Michetti, Scalia, Luke Kondub, Trey Migliarese and Nick Kondub all lit the lamp.

Michetti had three assists, Scalia, Sutfin, James Cybart and Luke Kondub all had two assists, and Braiewa, LaBella, Alex May and Nick Kondub each logged one assist.

Andy Guerrera was in goal for the first two periods and Brady Floramo played in net in the third.
