Masuk girls lacrosse to compete for state championship

WATERTOWN, CT — Top seed Masuk defeated No. 4 Cheshire 15-4 in the Class L State Tournament semifinals, at neutral site Watertown High on Tuesday night. Masuk will now face No. 3 Simsbury in Saturday’s title game, at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield at 12 p.m.

Lily Cameron had seven goals and Baily Bajda also picked up seven points with four goals and a trio of assists to go along with five draw controls. Charlotte Pinto registered two goals and three assists and Sam Henry had two goals, two assists, six draw controls and four ground balls.

Goaltender Sophie Clark made eight saves.
