Masuk girls golf team beats two opponents in as many days

MONROE, CT — Masuk High’s girls golf team won two matches in as many days, defeating host Stratford at Mill River Country Club on Tuesday and visiting St. Joseph of Trumbull at Whitney Farms Golf Course on Wednesday.

The Panthers shot 189 to beat Stratford which only had two golfers. Adriana Lupo carded a 46, Alex Cecchino had a 44, Abigail Yeager 50, Jocelyn Allen 49 and Emma McIntyre 56.

Masuk beat St. Joes 182-233. Lupo had a 47, Cecchino 43, Yeager 42, Allen 52 and McIntyre 50.

Beginning Monday, April 28, the Panthers are scheduled to have four matches in as many days. Joel Barlow of Redding visits Monday at 3 pm. The Panthers will also take on Immaculate, Notre Dame and Newtown during the busy week.
