Masuk High’s girls golf team had its first three matches of the year and earned four wins, defeating visiting Stratford and Joel Barlow of Redding April 8 and 9 at Whitney Farms, then going to Fairchild Wheeler in Fairfield on April 10 and defeating Weston and Notre Dame in a three-school match.
Against Stratford, Masuk carded a 210; Stratford had only two golfers so did not register a team score. Adriana Lupo was medalist with a 43. Alex Cecchino had a 56, Abigail Yeager 53, Jocelyn Allen 63 and Emma McIntyre a 58.
In the Barlow match, Masuk prevailed 207-233. Yeager was the medalist with a 49. Cecchino had a 50, Lupo 52, Allen 56, Olivia Cuso 60.
Masuk defeated Weston 192-202; Notre Dame had just one competitor and did not have a team score.
Lupo led Masuk with a 45, Cecchino carded a 47, Yeager 46, Allen 62 and McIntyre 54.
