Masuk girls and boys lacrosse teams enjoy winning streaks

MONROE, CT — Goals have come in bunches for the Masuk High girls and boys lacrosse teams as the girls made it four wins in a row and the boys put together a three-game winning streak.

The girls team won 7-6 at Joel Barlow on April 18, toppled visiting Immaculate 18-1 on April 22, then crushed host Stratford-Bunnell 16-3 on April 25 and beat visiting Notre Dame-Fairfield 19-5 on April 27.

In the win over Stratford-Bunnell, Bailey Bajda had four goals and an assist, Charlotte Pinto scored two goals and added two assists and Sammy Henry notched two goals to go along with 10 draw controls.

In the win over Notre Dame, Pinto scored four times, Ella Picci recorded two goals and two assists and Lilly Cameron logged two goals and an assist.

On the boys’ side, Masuk won 15-6 over visiting Bunnell-Stratford on April 20, then 10-2 at Immaculate on April 22 and 19-5 at Notre Dame on April 27.
