Kondub brothers lead Masuk to win over Suffield co-op

SIMSBURY, CT — Masuk High’s hockey team went to Simsbury and defeated the Suffield co-op 6-4 on Monday. While the teams combined for 10 goals, two standout Panthers combined for 10 points. Nick Kondub did a week’s worth of goal scoring in one game with five tallies and his brother Luke registered five assists in the win.

Ryan Ewald also scored. Christian LaBella logged two assists and James Cybart had an assist. Andy Guerrera was in net for the win.

Masuk fell 8-2 to host New Milford, at Canterbury School on Wednesday. LaBella and Nick Kondub lit the lamp. Luke Kondub had two assists and Nick Kondub and Connor Kehlenbach also earned assists.

The next game is Saturday, Jan. 13, when the Panthers skate against Lyman Hall at Northford. The puck drops at 5 p.m.
