Kathleen A. Keenan, 70, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Nov. 14, 2021.

She is predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary J. Keenan, her sister, Ann Marie Keenan from New Britain, and her nephew, Ryan T. Lee.

She is survived by her sisters, Carol (Ed) Nixon of East Hampton, Christine (Will) O’Dell of Bristol and Theresa (Dan) Lee and daughter Amanda of Berlin. Her extended family includes many cousins and Nancy and BJ Larrivee, The Slattery Family and The Mulhern Family.

Kathy was an avid reader and delighted in many hobbies, quilting, knitting and crochet and was content to always be making something for one of “her kids”. Her greatest joy was found in the presence of children. Kathy was known for her glowing smile, her constant gratitude to everyone and her faithfulness in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude Church in Monroe at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4. There are no calling hours and burial is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to the Norma Pfriem Breast Center memo: Angel Funds/Helping Hands c/o Bridgeport Hospital Foundation, 267 Grant St., Bridgeport, CT 06610.

The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Vincent Hospital for their unwavering care and support.
