MONROE, Conn. — Every year the Monroe community generously buys gifts for town residents in need during the holiday season.
Social Services Coordinator Mary Ann Kalm said 37 gifts are still available for purchase on Sign Up Genius.
“There are two trees in the library as well,” Kalm said Thursday. “As of yesterday there were 22 tags available. Trees are upstairs in the main library and downstairs in the children’s library.”

Monroe Social Services asks that gifts be returned wrapped with the tag number (i.e. 101A) clearly marked on the outside of the gift by Friday, December 5, 2025.
All gifts should be dropped off at the Monroe Police Department Lobby, 7 Fan Hill Road, which is open 24 hours a day.
