Frank A. Bologna, age 92, died in Bridgeport Hospital on February 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 24, 1931, in Bridgeport, Frank was the son of the late Dominic and Philomena (Greco) Bologna. He married the love of his life, Joyce Pasquariello Bologna. They spent 49 amazing years together before she passed away in 1999. Together, they had three amazing daughters.

Frank was a longtime resident of Trumbull. He worked for many years at Bridgeport Machines/Textron in Bridgeport and at Monroe Elementary School in Monroe.

Frank was an optimist who had a zest for life and lived by his saying, “Every day is a holiday.” He loved and valued quality time with his family; Italian dinners with his family were his favorite. His Italian sauce was magnificent and his grandchildren always wanted him to make his delicious spaghetti.

Frank would light up a room with his presence. His positive energy brought out the best in people. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh with his jokes. Happiness and laughter was always part of his day.

The outdoors and nature brought Frank a lot of joy. He loved going to the local parks with his daughter, Joy. He had a deep appreciation for all types of music and he loved to sing, dance, and whistle.

Besides the previously mentioned, Frank was predeceased by one of his twin daughters, Janice Bologna Ross; five sisters: Marie MacDowell, Rose Grinch, Jennie Garby, Peirina Bologna, Josephine Bologna, and four brothers: Rocco Bologna, Carmen Bologna, Antonio Bologna, Joseph Bologna.

He is survived by his daughters Joy Carter of Monroe (twin sister of Janice) and Lisa Bologna Forman and her husband, Chuck; along with six grandchildren: Jana Gariepy, Jill Olivera, Melissa Carter Berardi, Thomas Carter Jr., Kimberly Carter, and Richard Konowal. Frank is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate Frank will be held on February 29, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Theresa Church in Trumbull, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611. Interment to immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull, CT 06611.
