David Kollmann will forever be a loving husband and supportive father

David Alan “Dave, Big Dave, Coach Dave” Kollmann of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10th surrounded by his family.

David was born on January 28, 1948 in Joliet, Ill., to Alvin “Al” Kollmann and Maxine “Mickie” Heather Kollmann.

David wore many hats; as an attorney, DIY guru, friend, coach, mentor, uncle and golfer, but most importantly a devoted husband, dedicated father and proud grandfather.

He is survived by Karen, his wife of 37 years; his five sons, Kyle, Bradley and his wife Daniella, Justin, Evan and Trevor, and his granddaughter Kennedy Juliet Kollmann.

To many, David has always been a role model and friend. To us, he will forever be a loving husband and supportive dad.

All are invited to a visitation for David on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son, Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, Connecticut 06468.

A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Grace Episcopal Church, 175 Old Tannery Road, Monroe, Connecticut 06468 followed by a private burial celebration with family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in David’s memory may be made to St. Peter’s Grace Episcopal Church. Online condolences may be left at SpadaccinoFuneralHome.com.
