The Masuk boys soccer team is off to fast start with an 8-1 record, good enough for a second place ranking in the SWC.

“I am extremely happy with our progress so far this season,” said Head Coach Brendan Cavanaugh. “The captains did an amazing job in the offseason and the hard work is paying off early on in our season.”

The Panthers are led by senior captains Owen Correll, Kasper Murzinksi, Tristan Pike and Jasper Pike.

The Masuk boys soccer team plays this Thursday, Oct. 5, against Bethel High School at 6 p.m. in Bethel. The next home match is Thursday, Oct. 12, against Bunnell High School and is the Kick Pink Cancer Awareness Game.

All funds raised will go directly towards the Hope and Strength Student Athlete Scholarship.

Senior Night is on Oct. 19 versus Pomperaug High School at 6 p.m.

“Please come out and support the Masuk Boys Soccer program,” Cavanaugh said.
