Brian J. Norris remembered for his big smile, big heart, unwavering faith in Jesus Christ

Brian J. Norris, a longtime resident of Stratford and Monroe, passed away on January 17, 2024. He was 67.

Born in Bridgeport, Brian was the son of Patrick and Doris Norris. He graduated from Trumbull High School and was employed at PerkinElmer in his 20’s and 30’s, but retired from Securitas Security Services in 2020, where he worked as a Security Guard for People’s Bank in Greenwich.

Brian was a member of Saint Mark and Our Lady of Peace parishes in Stratford and Saint Jude Parish in Monroe. He enjoyed fishing, camping, baseball (Go Red Sox!), football and the beach.

He was involved in the Cursillo Movement in the Diocese of Bridgeport since 1994. Brian was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and he volunteered for many church activities for over 30 years. He served as a eucharistic minister and youth minister at Saint Jude Parish in the 1990’s.

Brian will be remembered for his big smile, big heart and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Michele Norris and his daughter Emily Norris, as well as his siblings Susan Kanuch, Thomas Norris, Doreen Wheeler, John Norris numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Doris Norris, and his brothers, Richard Norris and Timothy Norris.

Friends are invited to calling hours Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 9 – 10:30 a.m. at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. A Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Saint Jude Parish, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment will immediately follow at Huntington Lawn Cemetery, 15 Church Street, Shelton.
