Alicia “Lee” Ryan Faye of Stratford, 72, died on June 16, 2021 after a courageous battle with leukemia.

Alicia was born in Danbury, on December 21, 1948 and grew up in Shelton, before moving to Stratford in the early 70’s. Alicia grew up in foster care, which inspired her to become a foster parent herself. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Faye and her grandson, Michael Buzard.

Alicia recently retired from her role as senior vice president from Seymour Sheridan, Inc. (her extended family) in Monroe after 35 years and was a longtime member of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce. She loved to travel and take her children and grandchildren on many adventures.

She was known to everyone as Mom, Nana or Aunt Lee. When she met you, you immediately became family. She made sure that you knew that “her door was always open.” Her sense of humor was infectious and she was full of life and love. Alicia loved holiday’s especially Halloween, she thrived on having the scariest house on the street.

Alicia is survived by her three daughters, Kelly Brander, Shari Ryan Cole and Lisa Dunn; and two sons, Richard Ryan and Dennis Jackson. Alicia is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved more than anything else. She will be greatly missed by many. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude’s.

Alicia’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 22, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 23, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Monroe.
