To the Editor:
I would like to send in my support for a terrific young man, Ben Sabia, who is running for Town Council. I have known Ben since his youth through his volunteer activities in the community.
As a lifelong resident of Monroe, Ben knows firsthand the level of commitment needed to make the right kind of decisions for Monroe’s future. Most significantly, Ben has served on the Inland Wetlands Commission for the past two years. In that capacity, Ben has shown the need to balance environmental standards and fiscally responsible growth while protecting Monroe small town character.
As a member of the Town Council, Ben will continue to support Monroe with updates to the zoning and development ordinances that encourage appropriate commercial investment while protecting sensitive environmental areas.
He’ll work with Planning and Zoning and Economic Development to bring in types of businesses that create jobs and contribute to the tax base.
Ben believes in transparent and careful spending. He’ll ensure that the town’s contracts are carefully vetted for long-term cost and value.
He supports responsible infrastructure improvements that will make Monroe more attractive to businesses, while improving quality of life for residents.
A vote for Ben Sabia is a vote for smart, responsible growth and a great future for Monroe.
