MONROE, CT — Everything is clicking for the Masuk High boys volleyball team thus far. Through their first four matches — all on home court — the Panthers are unbeaten.
They handled visiting Darien 3-1 (25-23, 25-19, 24-26, 25-12) on Saturday. Dan Ferris had 21 kills and 13 digs; and Nathan Kurkoski registered 39 assists, 10 digs and 2 aces.
Masuk had won its previous three in the minimum three sets, beating St. Joseph of Trumbull April 5, New Milford April 7 and Pomperaug of Soutbury on April 9.
Against St. Joes, Coach Dan Nyitrai’s squad won 25-6, 25-11, 25-13. Michael Majersky logged 9 kills, 2 aces and 2 blocks; Nathan Kurkoski had 17 assists, 2 aces, and 7 digs; and Mathias Aoaeh recorded 6 kills and 2 blocks.

The New Milford match scores were 25-13, 25-10, 25-11. Ferris had 10 kills, 3 aces and 7 digs; Nathan Kurkoski had 11 assists and 8 digs; and Nick Adams tallied 6 aces, 2 assists and 2 digs.
The Pomperaug match featured a pair of very competitive sets as Masuk won 25-17, 26-24, 25-23. Ferris racked up 15 kills and 5 digs; Nathan Kurkoski had 6 aces, 5 digs and 29 assists; and Majersky had 9 kills and 5 digs.
Masuk hosts Stamford Monday at 6 p.m. before heading on the road for three straight contests.
