MONROE, CT — Close to 40 percent of Monroe’s registered voters already cast early ballots for the Presidential Election and state races. Today residents are going to the polls to vote in person.
As of Monday afternoon, Monroe had 13,517 registered voters and 5,293 had voted via early voting or same day registration for a turnout of just over 39 percent. Of those voting early were 1,454 registered Democrats, 1,484 Republicans, 2,283 unaffiliated and 72 from other parties.
Monroe’s polling places are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 5):
- District 1: Fawn Hollow Elementary School, 345 Fan Hill Road
- District 2: Stepney Elementary School, 180 Old Newtown Road
- District 3: Monroe Elementary School, 375 Monroe Turnpike
- District 4: Masuk High School, 1014 Monroe Turnpike
