Annual Tree Lighting on the Stepney Green
The Green will be illuminated with over 300 luminary, with Frosty arriving on a Stepney Volunteer Fire truck to help flip the switch to light up the 30 foot tree. Musical entertainment is provided by Monroe’s own “Just Voices” a cappella choir, with hot cider and donuts served up by the Monroe Boy Scouts. Bring home your piece of the tree lighting with specially minted pewter tree ornament for $10. All proceeds go to the Stepney Task Force to help fund this annual event. After the tree illumination, join us across the street at the Stepney Baptist Church for candlelight caroling with home baked goodies for all.
