MONROE, CT —St. Jude Parish’s annual Italian Festival returns this Wednesday and will be held on church ground through Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. The church is located at 707 Monroe Turnpike, at the intersection of routes 11o and 111.
The festival will feature four nights of food, music, rides, games and togetherness. JMG music will be on stage to spin popular tunes and dance party music, while children enjoy the thrill of Stewart Amusement rides and games for the whole family.
The event will feature a new vendor this year, Nutmeg Concessions, offering food and carnival treats. Aside from hot dogs and hamburgers, fries and pizza and pizza fritta, sausage and peppers are a festival favorite. Among the sweet treats are ice cream and cotton candy.
The event will build up to the Parish Raffle drawing on Saturday night with a first prize of $3,000.
