School district letter includes information on lunch program

The following letter went out to families in the Monroe public school district:

Dear Parents/Guardians,

While the Monroe School District is on remote learning, lunches will be available for pick-up for all students grades K-12 at no cost.

Students in grades K-12 may order lunch using the order form at the following link, click here for order form. All orders must be received by 10am on Wednesday 11/25. Lunches must be picked up at Fawn Hollow Elementary School from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. on Monday, (please note time change for Monday only), and 7:15 – 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday.

Lunch pick-up will occur on Monday, November 30, 2020 and Wednesday, December 2, 2020. On Monday, 11/30, families will pick-up lunches for Monday, and Tuesday, and on Wednesday, 12/2, families will pick-up lunches for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Fawn Hollow Elementary School is the pick-up site for all students / families in the school district. All lunches ordered are available free of charge to Monroe Public School students under the age of 18 as recently made available through the National School Lunch Program. 

National School Lunch Program Cost Waiver for Student Lunches

All students in grades K-12 wishing to “Purchase” lunch through the school food service will be able to do so at no cost. This nationwide waiver is available to all schools that participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). The program will continue through the end of the school year.
