MONROE, CT — Monroe Congregational Church’s annual Strawberry Festival runs on the work of its many volunteers, who man the booths, grill hamburgers, bake pies and prepare strawberry shortcakes, just to name a few tasks. There’s even a volunteer who dons a strawberry festival mascot costume.
