Panthers lead start to finish in win over Rebels

MONROE, CT — The Masuk High boys basketball team led from the start and cruised to a 68-54 win over visiting New Fairfield Thursday. The Panthers won for the third time in their last four games.

Tyler Newsom scored 28 points, had five rebounds, four blocks, three assists and three steals. He was 12-for-13 from the free throw line.

Colin Francisco scored eight points on a 3-for-3 field goal attempt effort. Stephen Sentementes scored seven points, hitting 5-of-6 foul shots and handed out a trio of assists.

Greg Nivison had seven points, four steals, three assists and three rebounds. Matt Domenichelli recorded eight points, four rebounds and two blocks. Owen Smith had six assists.

Masuk went 17-of-19 from the foul line and improved to 8-7 overall this winter.
