American Legion to hold Veterans Day Ceremony on Stepney Green

MONROE, CT — American Legion Post 176 of Monroe and Post 160 of Easton will hold Veterans Day memorial services on the Stepney Green in Monroe on Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. The Sippin-Winspur Post 176 is led by Commander Vic Yanosy and the Charles L. Ruman Post 160 is led by Commander Donald Rodgerson. They will officiate the ceremony. Aldi celebrates grand opening of Monroe store

MONROE, CT — Shoppers welcomed the new Aldi supermarket to town with open arms Thursday morning, filling the parking lot in the upper level of Town Line Plaza, 205 Monroe Turnpike, and joining the long line of people anxiously waiting for the manager to open its doors. Masuk football crushes Weston for 7th win

WESTON, CT — The Masuk High football team went to Weston and delivered a 56-6 win on Friday. With the victory the Panthers improved to 7-1. Quarterback Aaron Champagne completed 11 of 12 pass attempts for 317 yards and six touchdowns. He also had a 15-yard rush. Gavin Walker had three catches for 91 yards and a touchdown.
