Monroe RTC dinner to celebrate Kellogg’s retirement

Ken Kellogg served as Monroe's first selectman for the past six years.

MONROE, CT — Ken Kellogg served as Monroe’s first selectman for six years, before deciding not to seek a fourth-consecutive term last fall. The Monroe Republican Town Committee welcomes the public a dinner party celebrating his retirement.

The event will be held at The Stone Barn at Whitney Farms, 175 Shelton Road, on Friday, Jan. 12, at 6:30 p.m.

The cost of admission to the buffet dinner with featured speakers is $100 per person. To purchase tickets, click here.

  1. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this honorable event. We will be in Massachusetts that weekend celebrating our 3rd Grandchild Emma’s 2nd birthday.

    Congratulations Ken for 6 amazing years of continued growth in the wonderful community that is Monroe.

    Although I have moved away and have not been as involved as I would have liked, I still hear from many of our community involved members who have said you have continued moving Monroe forward with many initiatives.

    As you know, in my “retirement” as a realtor I continue to suggest bringing businesses and people into the Monroe Community.

    I wish you, Mary and your family all the best in your “Retirement”. Thank you both for your tremendous support though my terms and your leadership for the Town of Monroe
