Monroe Elementary School needs more substitute teachers

MONROE, CT — Monroe Elementary School has a shortfall of qualified substitute teachers this fall.

Principal Kelly Svendsen said the openings include a 25-hour-per-week preschool para-educator position. The hours are from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily and the pay is $17.69 an hour.

The school also has an open 30-hour-per-week para-educator position. The hours are from 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., with a 30 minute unpaid lunch each day. The rate is $17.19-per-hour.
