Monroe churches to host weekly fish FryDays starting this Friday

Dave Kuban’s Planet Pizza of Norwalk's Food Truck will be outside either St. Peter's Grace or Monroe Congregational church on Fridays leading up to Lent.

MONROE, Conn. — St. Peter’s Grace Episcopal Church and Monroe Congregational Church’s annual Lenten Loaves & Fishes FryDays are back. The meals will be picked up every Friday from Feb. 20 through March 27

This weekly event features fresh-made favorites from the Dave Kuban’s Planet Pizza of Norwalk Food Truck, including:

  • Classic Fish and Chips
  • Crispy Fried Shrimp
  • Golden Chicken Tenders
  • Perfectly Seasoned Fries
  • Cheese or Pepperoni Pizza (gluten-free available)
  • Good Cod Almighty Fish Sandwich (crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, zesty tartar sauce)
  • A variety of drinks and desserts

The event, which runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., will be held at St. Peter’s, 175 Old Tannery Road, on Feb. 27, March 20 and March 24, and outside Monroe Congregational Church, 34 Church St., on Feb. 20, March 6 and March 13.

Both churches offer indoor dining in their fellowship halls.
