The Masuk High hockey team followed a 4-2 loss to the Joel Barlow-Weston-Abbott Tech (JBWA) co-op at the Sports Center of Connecticut in Shelton on Jan. 29 with a 4-3 victory at Watertown-Pomperaug at the Taft School in Watertown on Saturday, Feb. 1.
In the loss to JBWA Luke Kondub had a goal and an assist, Christian LaBella scored and Chase DeSanto and Connor Kelenbach had assists.
Against Watertown-Pomperaug Kondub and LaBella each had two goals and two assists to power the offense. Graham Cybart and Sean Pardue both added assists.
Maddex LaFountain was in net for both games and made nine saves against JBWA and 31 stops in the win over Watertown-Pomperaug.
Masuk stands at 6-5-2 heading into a Monday, Feb, 3, visit against Shepaug at Frederick Gunn School at 7 p.m. and a Feb. 7 clash with Newtown-New Fairfield at Danbury Ice Arena Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.
