Letter: Let us continue to offer love, support to 9/11 victims and families

To the Editor:

I remember September 11, 2001 with shock, horror, sadness, and reverence.  Over 3,000 people were killed that day in terrorist attacks, including Robert Gerlich of  Monroe.

Hundreds of Monroe residents paid tribute the victims at a ceremony at Masuk High School and hundreds more offered support to all affected by the attacks.

Emergency responders from Monroe aided in recovery efforts and stood ready to help with staff and needed supplies.

As we approach the 20th anniversary of 9/11, let us continue to offer love and support to the victims and their families and offer our eternal thanks to all who helped in the recovery efforts. They will never be forgotten.
