Kate Chacho Wyant will be remembered with love

Kathleen “Kate” Chacho Wyant of Tijeras, N.M., passed away peacefully in Albuquerque, N.M., on April 28, 2024, while surrounded by her family and caregivers after a long illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul J. Chacho Sr. and Mary Baker Chacho, brother Michael R. Chacho, and half-sister Eileen Rose Chacho, who are welcoming her to heaven with love and joy.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Wyant of the family home, her son Jedidiah Jones, her daughter Sarah Jones Parks (Mancel Jordan Parks), brother Paul J. Chacho Jr. (Sandra Salamon) of Placitas, N.M., half-brother James M. Chacho of Albuquerque, and stepmother Rosemary M. Chacho of Vallecito Lake, Colo.

She will also be missed by her grandchildren Mancel Asher Parks, Isabel Rose Parks, Jeweleah Jones and Elijah Jones, great-grandchildren Ezekiel and Esther Sullivan, aunt Virginia Hancock of Oxford, Conn., and several cousins. She will be remembered with love by her nephews Ryan Chacho and Rivers Rutherford, niece Kennedy Rutherford and their mother Rebeccah Rutherford.

Kathleen was born in Monroe, Conn., on July 9, 1952 and graduated from Masuk High School. She then moved to Albuquerque at the age of 18, where she met her future husband, Michael Wyant, with whom she has enjoyed life for the past 30 years. She will be missed by many, but our memories will comfort us in our sorrow at her passing. May she rest in peace and eternal life.

There will be cremation and no services are planned at this time, so if you wish to leave a remembrance, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in her memory.
