MONROE, CT — Masuk High School invites members of the public to volunteer as community judges for the 13th annual senior Capstone presentations to be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Students choose a high interest, often career-related topic, find a mentor in the community, and complete a minimum of 20 hours of fieldwork, while compiling a portfolio of research and written reflections. As a culminating event, all students conduct an 8-12 minute presentation before a panel of judges.
Judges will arriving at Masuk at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 22. All judges will be trained to use the Capstone Project Oral Presentation Rubric. Returning judges who are comfortable with the process and rubric may arrive by 11 a.m.
After the training session, lunch will be provided in the library. Following lunch, presentations will take place from noon to approximately 1:30 p.m.
Each judge will be assigned to a classroom composed of teacher and community judges, five senior presenters, and a handful of juniors who will be observing in preparation for their presentations in 2026.
