MONROE, CT — Monroe Congregational Church’s 52nd annual Strawberry Festival attracted a crowd on the church green and grounds, at 34 Church St., Saturday.
The old-fashioned, New England church festival with modern twists offers something for the whole family.
Fair goers can sample homemade strawberry-flavored items, including jams, pies, smoothies and shortcakes; walk the green and visit over 100 juried crafters of handmade items.
The event features live entertainment and a food tent with ample seating. Tire the kids out with a bounce house, children’s games and face painting among many activities.
The festival will continue this Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The award-winning Silver Steel Band will play from 1 to 3 p.m.
