To the Editor:
We would like to encourage voters in the 112th Connecticut House District to vote for Beth Cliff, the Democratic candidate for State Representative. Beth is a hard-working person who would truly represent us. She will listen to her constituents, work hard to preserve our democracy, and help to secure state resources for our district.
Importantly, she will promote gun safety laws, and she will strive to protect our reproductive freedoms.
The 112th district includes all of Monroe and about half of Easton, but it also includes a small slice of Trumbull – about 1,700 voters.
A couple of years ago, during our last state election, we felt like our little slice of Trumbull had been tossed away. Our area had been carved off from the 134th district and added to the 112th. Nobody canvassed around here. No yard signs were present in our neighborhood. I felt that we had been cut out and forgotten.
Enter Beth Cliff in 2024. She shows sincere interest in representing our entire district. Beth has decades of experience in the business world and has served in many leadership positions in nonprofit organizations.
She and her husband have raised two daughters who are now in their twenties. She has been an active and respected member of her community, and she is confident that she can make a meaningful contribution to our state legislature. We believe her.
Beth and Marilyn went door to door in our neighborhood and Marilyn was able to introduce her to many of our neighbors. People can tell that she is a viable and respectable candidate. Lawn signs are now up. Folks are checking her out on social media.
We know that many of our neighbors have voted early and have enthusiastically voted for Beth Cliff. If you haven’t voted already, please do what we did: vote for Beth!
Sincerely,
Marilyn Lord and James Meisner
Trumbull
