MONROE, CT – Power has been restored to 916 homes on Garder Road after high winds toppled a tree onto power lines in a storm that left close to 1,700 Eversource customers without electricity in Monroe Saturday.
Police Chief Keith White shared the update just after 7 p.m.
White said crews are now on sight to restore power to 587 homes in the Barn Hill Road area, where downed wires and a blown transformer caused blackouts earlier in the day.
Power has also been out in the areas of Pastors Walk and Turkey Roost Road, but in smaller pockets, according to White.
