Running for: Planning and Zoning Commission alternate
Work Experience/Education: I worked towards a degree in Construction management at CCSU, took a summer job at SNET, still there 25 years later now owned by Frontier Comm., as a Network Systems tech. Previous to that I worked for a building contractor that did everything from foundations to roofing both residential and commercial. One example is the Big Y plaza in Newtown.
Political experience: Three years on the Zoning Board of Appeals, two on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Community experience: Youth coach for football, wrestling and soccer for about 10 years. Play and manage mens Rec softball.
Family: Married with two kids in Monroe schools, one in eighth grade and a junior at Masuk High School.
What makes you a great candidate for the Planning and Zoning Commission?
I think I’m a great candidate for this potion because I’ve lived in Monroe for over 30 years, I know and love this town very much and I want to help it grow responsibly with various businesses in order to keep taxes at bay or possibly lower them in the future. I utilize my construction background to help me envision and read site plans for future projects.
