A teenager driving three other juveniles lost control of a Ford Focus on a curve while heading north on Wild Horse Court Aug. 22, went off the road and struck a utility box and a boulder.
Police said the car continued down an embankment and rolled over — feet from going into a pond.
Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Service personnel responded to the scene, though no injuries were reported.
The juvenile driver was issued an infraction for failure to maintain his lane, traveling too fast for conditions and for violating a passenger restriction for a driver of his age and experience.
The accident occurred in the 100 block of Wild Horse Court around 6:51 p.m.
Subaru crashes into utility pole
A driver lost control of a Subaru Legacy heading north on Hattertown Road Sunday morning, after the front-driver’s-side tire came off. The vehicle veered to the left and struck a utility pole, according to police.
The driver, Robert Krajewski, 19, had no injuries, the report said.
Police said there was damage to the base of the utility pole from the crash, which occurred around 10:16 a.m.
Lexus vs. two dump trucks
Jose Leonidas Sanchez-Morocho, 49, of Danbury, was driving north on Monroe Turnpike in a Mitsubishi Fuso truck Saturday afternoon, when he rear-ended another dump truck, causing it to drop debris from its bed box and propelling it forward, into the back of a Lexus, according to police.
Police said the Lexus wound up on the east bound side of Cross Hill Road and the trucks continued north.
Sanchez-Morocho’s truck crossed the road and struck a utility pole and the other came to final rest on the right shoulder of Route 111 (Monroe Turnpike).
Firefighters were called in to extricate Sanchez-Morocho from his truck and he was taken to Bridgeport Hospital with a possible leg injury, according to the report.
Antonio Echenique-Grados, 46, of Trumbull, the driver of the other truck, was taken to Saint Vincent’s Medical Center for a possible shoulder injury.
The driver of the Lexus, Patricia St. Louis, 38, of Trumbull, and her two passengers, both children, were evaluated by the Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Service, but she refused transport to a hospital, police said.
Sanchos-Morocho was issued an infraction for following too closely, causing an accident and failure to maintain the proper lane.
Both trucks were towed. The accident occurred around 4:09 p.m.
