WOODBRIDGE, Conn. — Masuk High’s girls lacrosse team has dominated the competition in four of its games and scored in double digits in all five contests on the way to an unbeaten start to the campaign.
The Panthers defeated host Amity of Woodbridge 15-6 on Saturday in the latest scoring barrage. Charlotte Pinto scored five goals and had two assists; Emma Troesser scored four times and had three ground balls to go along with nine draw controls and a pair of forced turnovers; and Bailey Bajda had five goals, two ground balls and three draw controls.
Clare Fulchino had four ground balls, three draw controls and a forced turnover; and Ella Sancimino added a goal, assist and ground ball. Masuk won the possession game with 17 draw controls and 18 ground balls.
Goaltender Maddie Farrer made five saves. Farrer was the team’s player of the game in a 17-7 win over visiting Joel Barlow on Thursday. Masuk has won four games by nine or more goals and edged New Fairfield 10-9 in overtime.
The team hosts Bethel Wednesday at 7 p.m.
