Masuk swim and dive team continues to record impressive times

Start

MONROE, CT — Despite falling 93-85 to visiting Weston on Thursday, Sept. 19, the Masuk High girls swim and dive team had plenty to be happy about with 25 best times recorded.

The Panthers have 26 qualifying events for the South-West Conference Championships and 12 more for the State Championships. Masuk will visit Brookfield Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 4:30 p.m.

Diver Carly Jordan came in first as did the 200 freestyle relay (in the photo above), which included Lena Savkovic, Skye Eannotti, Izzy Murzinska and Lucia Morales, and 100 backstroke competitor Lena Savkovic.

Masuk Coach Emily DeMace noted that the 200 free relay was very exciting to watch as Morales kicked it up a couple notches and came up from behind to out-touch Weston. Morales also had a very exciting 100 freestyle swim placing second only by 0.23 seconds.
