MONROE, CT — The 2023 Monroe Bicentennial time capsule will be buried on the town green this Saturday at 3 p.m., rain or shine. All are welcome to attend the short ceremony.
Town Clerk Vida Stone, who also serves as chair of the Bicentennial Committee, said visitors of Monroe Town Hall can get a sneak peak of the contents that will go inside the capsule.
The display inside the Monroe Town Clerk’s Office in Room 201 of Town Hall can be seen this Wednesday, Nov. 15, and Thursday, Nov. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, Nov. 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
