A Sandy Hook man lost control of his 1995 BMW 525i in the snow in the 100-block of Pastors Walk Saturday afternoon, went off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole, according to police.
The driver, Andrew Janco, 20, was not injured and police issued a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
When a flatbed tow truck from Route 25 Auto Collision was used to load the BMW onto the back of the truck, police said the car got loose from the tow chains and went approximately 60 feet off the road and down 30 feet into a ravine.
A second wrecker was called in from Bud’s Towing out of Bridgeport to pull the car out.
The incident took place around 4 p.m.
A domestic incident
A Norwalk man was arrested following a domestic incident on Jockey Hollow Road early Saturday morning, after he allegedly prevented the female victim from answering the door when police officers arrived.
Eduardo Cordero, 28, was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree unlawful restraint and released on $10,000 bond for a Jan. 21 court date.
Police received a 911 call around 3:30 a.m. with an open line. A loud argument could be heard in the background and the line was traced to the Jockey Hollow address, according to the report.
When officers arrived, police said the lights were off in the house and the door was locked, but they heard a woman crying inside.
Officers had to forcibly enter the home, police said.
Police said the victim told officers there was a verbal argument that escalated into pushing and that Cordero pushed her to prevent her from answering the door when police arrived.
