MONROE, CT — The Save Our Stepney (SOS) Task Force is sponsoring a scavenger hunt throughout the Stepney section of Monroe. Young and old are invited to participate to be eligible to win a $25 gift certificate at Benedict’s Home & Garden, Dunkin-Baskin, Pet World, Sal’s Pizza and Turning the Page bookstore.
The hunt has begun that includes 10 favorite scenic or historical locations. Entries will be accepted until Sunday, June 6, 2021. It’s easy to enter via your phone or by entering your answers at the SOS Task Force website at saveourstepneytaskforce.org.
Simply log into the website and click on the button that includes Sparky’s face and get the clues to find out where Sparky has been. You can also stop in to see and take a picture of the green “Where’s Sparky” clue sign posted at any of the following participating locations: Benedicts Home & Garden, Dunkin-Baskin, Pet World, Sal’s Pizza and Turning the Page bookstore.
Clue signs are also posted outside Stepney Elementary School. Once you complete your answer form on the website, you will be entered to win one of five gift certificates. Winners will be announced on June 7.
This Scavenger hunt has something for everyone as you will learn about the history and beauty of the Stepney section in town. So get your hat, put on your sunscreen and get outside. Look for the small green signs posted at five locations that say “Sparky was Here!” The other five locations will be drive by locations.
