Ages birth through six with a caregiver. Kids can enjoy the train table, Duplo table, play house, puzzles, puppets, and other toys, while caregivers get to know other adults in our community. A fun activity will be set up in the Craft/Storyhour Rooms. Spontaneous storytimes, bubbles, musical instrument fun, and other activities will vary from week to week. Be sure to check out books and other library materials to take home to enhance this early learning experience. Registration is not required.

Pokemon GO Fest at the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library

Calling all Pokémon GO Trainers! The library is hosting a day of catching and trading Pokémon, playing the popular Pokémon GO mobile game. Library staff will place Lures at all of our PokeStops so participants have extra good luck in finding Pokémon. Trainers who are Level 10 and higher can also trade Pokémon and battle with each other. Weather permitting, the library may also organize a raid on one of the nearby PokeGyms. Don’t know how to play? The library trainer will be happy to show you how. You will need a mobile phone and the Pokémon GO app to participate in the online activities, but the library will also have make-your-own paper craft Pokémon and duct tape Pokeballs and snacks in its newly-renovated Teen Space. All ages are welcome, elementary-age or younger must have a caregiver present.
