Valley Regional Adult Education offers free classes

SHELTON, CT — Valley Regional Adult Education, 54 Grove St. in Shelton, offers free classes to residents in Monroe, Ansonia, Derby, Seymour and Shelton. Registration is this August.

New students should visit VRAE.org to register online. Returning students should call 203-924-6651.

Students can earn an Adult High School Credit Diploma by attending credit-based classes.

VRAE also offers a GED program for those seeking a high school diploma to get a better job or to take a college course. Call to learn about the GED Fast Track program.

English as a Second Language is a course for people with limited knowledge of the English language. Learn language skills enabling you to live, work and study in the United States.

Citizenship preparation teaches American history and U.S. government, while preparing students for citizenship.

Valley Regional Adult Education is open year-round and offers day and evening classes. It has state certified teachers and school counselors and parking is free.
