MONROE, CT — Police are investigating a two-vehicle-crash that sent three people to St. Vincent’s Medical Center with injuries late Saturday morning.
At approximately 11:43 a.m., police said a Massachusetts woman driving a Volkswagen Jetta north on Route 111, just south of Crown View Drive, rear-ended a blue Chrysler Town and Country, driven by a Shelton couple.
The Chrysler crossed into the south lane and came to rest on the shoulder and the Jetta continued north, went off the road and stuck a tree, according to police.
Monroe Volunteer Emergency Medical Services personnel treated everyone at the scene and transported them to the hospital. Firefighters also responded to the emergency call. Both vehicles were towed.
