MONROE, CT — Thieves continue to target neighborhoods late at night. Two incidents of thefts and attempted thefts from vehicles were recently reported on Hannah Lane with a third incident on Jamianna Lane.
Police remind residents to lock their vehicle doors and not to leave valuables inside.
On Thursday, a Hannah Lane man told police his laptop and its carrying case were stolen from his unlocked pickup truck sometime overnight when it was parked in his driveway.
The laptop was later recovered on Cutlers Farm Road, police said.
Another Hannah Lane resident told police she noticed items in her unlocked vehicle had been moved around, though nothing was stolen.
In a third report Thursday, a Jamianna Lane man told police two vehicles on his property were entered overnight and a wallet was taken. Police said a credit card inside the stolen wallet was later used.
