He was advised to monitor all of financial accounts and credit, police said. The incident is being investigated by the Monroe Police Detective Division.
A crash in the storm
A 24-year-old Monroe man was heading south on Cutlers Farm Road in his white 2016 Honda Civic early Sunday morning, when he noticed large tree branch had fallen into the road. While attempting to stop, his vehicle slid on the icy roadway, before getting stuck beneath the branch.
Police said the driver was not injured and firefighters removed the branch from the Honda, which sustained damage to its roof, hood and trunk.
The accident occurred just south of East Dale Drive at approximately 4:08 a.m., amid snow and freezing rain. The driver was not cited for traffic violations.
