Rain washed out the opening night of the annual St. Jude Italian Festival Wednesday, but an early evening shower made way for sunshine Thursday, setting the stage for music, amusement rides, shopping and eating sausage and peppers, pizza frites and other fare.
The church will celebrate day two of the festival on its grounds at 707 Monroe Turnpike from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday with the last day this Saturday, from 5 to 10 p.m.
