He recently interviewed Masuk alum, Nick LoRusso, a local baseball star and promising young infielder in the New York Mets’ farm system.
“My career began with the Bridgeport Bluefish in 2014, and I’ve since worked with major media outlets like NESN in Boston, Mass., and NBC5 in South Burlington, Vt.,” Boronski told The Sun.
A graduate of the Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting, he has interviewed numerous sports figures and celebrities, from famous golfer Tiger Woods and legendary football coach Bill Belichick, to social media personality Charli D’Amelio and actor/comedian Ken Jeong.
Highlights of Boronski’s career and more details on his background can be found on his website.
Boronski graduated from Christian Heritage School in Trumbull in 2017, and LoRusso graduated from Masuk a year later. While growing up in Monroe, they had faced each playing baseball games at Wolfe Park and Beardsley Field.
“He’s been making waves in the Mets’ organization, working his way from High-A Brooklyn to Double-A Binghamton last year,” Boronski said of LoRusso.
Boronski caught up with LoRusso for an interview during spring training.
During his interview, Boronski touched on LoRusso’s experience playing in big league spring training games, conversations with Major League Baseball stars like Pete Alonso and Juan Soto, LoRusso’s excitement for the 2025 season, and the significance of playing close to home, where friends and family can watch him.
“It’s a unique opportunity to showcase local talent and inspire young athletes in our area,” Boronski said of the interview, which can be watched here:
