MONROE, CT — Orange cones and yellow caution tape is up outside Monroe Town Hall, as a work crew from Reliable Excavating Co. makes repairs to the sidewalk.
“They are repairing and replacing various sections of the sidewalk for safety improvements,” First Selectman Ken Kellogg said.
The $12,000 job was among the capital projects approved for the current fiscal year, according to Kellogg.
“Our contractor started the sidewalk work last week and, weather permitting, they expect it to be completed by the end of this week,” said Public Works Director Chris Nowacki.
